An extraordinary program was organized by the Department of pharmacy at Noakhali Science and Technology University on 17th December, 2024. The program was successfully completed under the supervision of respected faculty and with the presence of students of all batches of the department. Farewell of 13th batch, Orientation of 19th batch, Annual Picnic and Pitha Utshob were part of the program.
As a part of the Department, I also participated in the program. The function was held in the central field of our university. By 9 am we all arrived at the central field and sat in the designated seats. Then we were served breakfast. The Program started at 10 am. The chief guest was our honorable VC sir & the president was the chairman of our department. At the beginning of the program VC sir gave a speech to everyone. The presence of VC Sir made the event livelier. Then the students of different batches & course coordinators gave speeches periodically. I liked the words of the outgoing sisters and brothers and the guidance of our teachers. Following the traditional farewell and welcoming culture, the farewell ceremony and orientation program ended at 12 pm.
The next part was the annual sports. There were 9 events in this section. The cricket game started at the beginning of the segment. It was 13th batch vs teachers and 19th batch vs teachers. Our respected teachers won the game and our honorable Mamun sir became the man of the match. Everyone enjoyed this game immensely. Then the next event began which was Hadi Vangga of teachers & employees . Like cricket we all enjoyed it very much. After that, the boys' Biscuit Race, Marble Race and Three-legged Race began. All the events were successfully completed with the participation of most of the students of the department. After that, there was a prayer break from 1 pm. After break we all had lunch together under the open sky. Chicken polao, eggs & Chinese vegetables were on the lunch menu. All the dishes were very delicious. And we all ate with great pleasure. After lunch we all took a rest for some time. At 4 pm the sports segment started again . The afternoon event included girls' ball throwing and pillow passing.
Almost all of us participated in these events and enjoyed it very much. At the end of the day we captured some group pictures of all the batches to keep the memories. In the evening we were served snacks.
The biggest attraction of the program was the cultural part, which started in the evening. The cultural program included poetry recitation, songs, ramya debates and stage drama. Debaters debated on various courses of pharmacy including pharmacognosy, physiology, pharmacology, cosmetology, medicinal chemistry & veterinary pharmacy. All the debaters wanted to prove that his/her course was the best in pharmacy education. The debate was very funny & interesting. The most interesting and fun part of the cultural program was the performance of our teachers. Our respected teachers performed many interesting songs and poems. After the cultural program, a raffle draw and prize giving ceremony was held at 8:30 pm. At 9 pm, this incomparable program ended.
