I am Saimonddosh Emon, studying pharmacy department at State University of Bangladesh. Today I will talk about our "Pharma Week", one of the biggest events organized in our university.
Every year this event is organized in our department. The overall management and organization of the event is done by the most senior batch of our department. This year was the 16th Pharma Week. I am in my second semester, so this was my first Pharma Week experience.
This program runs for 7 days. Pharma Week consists of all kinds of activities, so that everyone who participates in the event gets a good opportunity to understand and prove where he excels. All types of outdoor-indoor games like cricket, football, volleyball, chess, ludo, treasure hunt etc. are organized in Pharma Week. Power point presentation, poster presentation, debate competition etc. are also organized to break the inertia.
On the 6th day of the program, there was a tour and on the 7th day, there was a cultural program where the artistes of the band are brought. 16th Pharma Week started on 25 February, 2024, with the inauguration and rally of the Head of the Department. What I like most about Pharma Week is the relationship between seniors and juniors, and the relationships with teachers.
One of the most memorable games I participated in during the 16th Pharma Week was the treasure hunt game, as I found it very interesting. I remember running with my teams across the campus, inside the wheels of the varsity bus, with clues. Searching for clues inside banana plants, flower tubs and other unexpected places was a unique experience. And our team officially won first place in this game.
Wrapping up the 16th Pharma Week, I thought about the good times, the new friends, and the excitement of winning the treasure hunt. Can't wait for next year's event at State University!
